OUR STORY
Apex Pictures is a multi award-winning Belfast based film production company founded by Carleton Rodgers and Michael Costello. Our productions have screened at over 100 film festivals across the globe winning numerous awards.
Our latest short I'll Be Frank premiered at the BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival. This was followed by official selections at the Oscar® qualifying CCIFF, Oscar® qualifying Cinequest Film Festival and the BAFTA qualifying IndieCork Film Festival among others.
OUR VISION
From the outset we have focused on high quality, story led productions. We firmly believe in the power of storytelling and are consistently pushing the envelope of what independent cinema in Northern Ireland can offer.
Apex specializes in overseeing film production. From the page to the screen, we craft each of our stories with an audience in mind ensuring entertaining films that leave a lasting legacy.
OUR FUTURE
2022 saw two of our short films funded through BFI and Northern Ireland Screen. Frankie held its world premiere at the BAFTA qualifying Indie Cork Film festival whilst I'll Be Frank held its premiere at the BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival.
In 2023 we began production on the NI Screen funded short film Teeny and Calamity Wayne, both are expected for release in 2024.
